MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084413 A) filed by Amity University, Panchgaon, Haryana, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'a novel composition of low-calorie polyherbal jam from ficus religiosa and preparation method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Luxita Sharma; and Dhananjay Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention describes a novel composition of Low-Calorie Polyherbal jam from Ficus religiosa and preparation method thereof. The present invention is to formulate such Polyherbal Jam to full fill demand of these people. The objective of the study is to present the highly nutritious fiber-rich, sugar-free and fat-free Polyherbal Jam from guava. The method used in the preparation of Polyherbal Jam is quite different and unique than the normal Polyherbal Jam preparation."
