According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention contains a drug which is highly lipophilic and gastrointestinal (GI) labile drug, it undergoes extensive first pass metabolism and enzymatic degradation in the GIT upon its oral administration, and the remaining non-degraded drug could not get solubilized in the GIT medium. selection of drug is done as per the solubility and mixed in oil phase (101) and preparation of aqueous phase (102) as per the formulations to be made, addition of excipients and emulsifying agents (103) as per the combinations and permutations and finally isolation of the final formulation after mixing of both phases (101) and (102) in the form of nano emulsion under high agitation (104). The final formulation is subjected to stability studies as per ICH guidelines. The said process is industrially scalable and cost effective."
