MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421034646 A) filed by Syri Research Private Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat, on May 1, 2024, for 'a pharmaceutical composition in powder form, pharmaceutical preparation containing it, and process for preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition in powder form, which is obtained by mixing two powder mixes together to obtain the pharmaceutical composition in powder form, wherein the first powder mix comprises a therapeutically effective amount of lansoprazole or a free base, free acids, salt, hydrate, ester, amide, enantiomer, isomer, tautomer, or polymorph thereof; at least one soothing agent; and at least one first buffering agent, and wherein the second powder mix comprises at least one suspending agent; and at least one excipient. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing the pharmaceutical composition in powder form. The present invention further relates to a pharmaceutical suspension, comprising a pharmaceutically effective amount of the pharmaceutical composition in powder form as defined above; and water."
