According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to topical dermatological formulations, and more particularly to a phyto-liposomal gel having a dual-release delivery system for the treatment and long-term management of seborrheic dermatitis affecting the scalp and skin. The formulation comprises two distinct populations of liposomes dispersed within a dermatologically acceptable gel base, wherein a first population of liposomes provides immediate release of anti-inflammatory herbal bioactives and a second population provides sustained release of antifungal and antioxidant herbal bioactives. Herbal extracts including Curcuma longa and Azadirachta indica are encapsulated within the liposomal carriers to enhance skin penetration, prolong residence time, and improve therapeutic efficacy. Upon topical application, the formulation delivers rapid symptomatic relief from itching, erythema, and inflammation, followed by prolonged suppression of fungal proliferation to reduce recurrence."
