MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202011042953 A) filed by Dr. Mohan C Joshi; Dr. Tanveer Ahmad; Dr. Jawed Iqbal; Dr. Rohit Kumar; and Dr. Gagan Deep Jhingan, New Delhi, on Oct. 2, 2020, for 'a portable detection system for sensitive estimation of analytes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to a portable detection system(100) for sensitive estimation of analytes. The system(100) comprising a buffer solution tube(108), a detection construct, a CRISPR effector system, a lateral flow assay strip(110), a test sample(112) and portable computing device(102). The buffer solution tube(108) includes a composition of a buffer solution. The buffer solution having an N-acetyl cysteine in the range of 0.001 to 2%, sodium citrate in the range of 0.001 to 2%, a triton X 100 in the range of 0.001 to 2%, and a proteinase K in the range of 0.1 to 1%(for swab, saliva and sputum sample) with single heat inactivation at 65-95 C for 5 min. The portable computing device(102) based application which includes a camera, a database, signal intensity analysis(using Artificial Intelligence method) for the Lateral flow assay image and provides the user with both offline and online."
