MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321054759 A) filed by Nitika Pharmaceutical Specialities Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'a pre-mix lubricating composition for effervescent tablet and method for preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a pre-mix lubricating composition for an effervescent tablet which comprises a combination of a lubricating agent, a suspending agent, a water-soluble excipient and an at least one antifoaming agent enhancing the disintegration rates, improves the flowability of granules or powders during the tablet manufacturing process, provides extended shelf life to the tablet component, and reducing breaking, sticking, and picking incidents. Further, a method for preparation of pre-mix lubricating an effervescent tablet is disclosed. The method comprising steps of mixing, pulverizing and compressing the premix lubricating composition."
