Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'A Precursor Glass' Filed by Corning Incorporated

MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518066303 A) filed by Corning Incorporated, Corning, U.S.A., on July 11, for 'a precursor glass.'

Inventor(s) include Smith, Charlene Marie; Beall, George Halsey; and Fu, Qiang.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a precursor glass comprising: from about 55 wt.% to about 80 wt.% SiO2; from about 5 wt.% to about 20 wt.% Al2O3; from about 5 wt.% to about 20 wt.% Li2O; from about 2 wt.% to about 4 wt.% P2O5; and from about 0.2 wt.% to about 15 wt.% ZrO2."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 08, 2015, under International application No.PCT/US2015/054615.
