The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process for preparing a fixed bed heterogeneous catalyst for biodiesel production, wherein the process includes steps of dissolving ammonium heptamolybdate salt and an acid in water to prepare a first solution. Thereafter adding a metal nitrate salt in the first solution with continued stirring for 30 minutes to prepare a second solution. Thereafter mixing the first solution and the second solution to prepare a third solution and adding a chelating agent in the third solution. Thereafter spraying the third solution onto the alumina extrudates to get the sprayed alumina extrudes. Drying the sprayed alumina extrudes at 120 C for 4 hours, and calcinating the dried extrudes at 500 C for 4 hours to get the fixed bed heterogeneous catalyst. Further, the present invention discloses a process for producing biodiesel from an edible oil feedstock by using the fixed bed heterogeneous catalyst."
