MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202632018838 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, on Feb. 19, for 'a process for the preparation of the go-supported fe2o3-mn2o3 ternary composite.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dibya Ranjan Rout; and Prof. Aditya Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to a process for the preparation of the GO-supported Fe2O3-Mn2O3 ternary composite comprising the step of preparing GO from graphite powder, dissolving the GO in DIW to form a stable suspension; preparing a solution of a ferric oxide precursor salt in DIW, adding the GO suspension thereto, and stirring for 15-20 min followed by adding NH4OH until pH 8.5-9.0 to precipitate Fe(OH)3 onto GO sheets, stirring the suspension for 20-30 min, followed by heating at 60-180 oC for 10-12 h to obtain GO-Fe2O3; adding the GO-Fe2O3 to DIW and sonicating to form a suspension, adding Mn2O3 into a ethanol-DIW mixture and adding PVP thereto to obtain a metal oxide solution, adding the metal oxide solution dropwise into the GO-Fe2O3 suspension to form a dispersion, stirring the dispersion at room temperature for 1-3 h followed by drying the final mixture to produce the Mn2O3@GO-Fe2O3 composite."
