MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025206 A) filed by Meenakshi Academy Of Higher Education And Research; and Meenakshi College Of Nursing, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 3, for 'a process of preparation of herbal anti-acne skin toner formulation and product thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a method of preparing an herbal anti-acne skin toner formulation, comprising: a. selecting fresh, ripe Alpakoda (Syzygium samarangense) fruits, washing thoroughly under running water, cutting into small pieces and removing seeds, followed by crushing fruit pulp and filtering the juice to obtain Alpakoda fruit juice. b. crushing fresh neem leaves, soaking in distilled water, and filtering to obtain neem extract; c. cutting fresh aloe leaves, scraping gel, and filtering to remove fibrous strands to obtain aloe vera gel; d. distilling rose petals in water until condensation yields clear rose water; e. combining Alpakoda fruit juice, rose water, aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil and neem extract in a sterile glass container under aseptic conditions, stirring continuously to form a homogeneous mixture; f. bottling the homogeneous mixture into sterilized PET or glass spray bottles, sealing tightly, and storing to obtain herbal anti-acne skin toner formulation."
