MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127369 A) filed by GD Goenka University, Sohna, Haryana, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'a production of renewable liquid biofuel using an optimized pyrolysis method.'

Inventor(s) include Annu Rani; and T. K. Bhattacharya.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A present invention relates to a production of renewable liquid biofuel using an optimized pyrolysis method. The present invention includes a gasoline in range of 25% to 35%, a diesel in range of 40% to 55%, a bio-oil in range of 10% to 20%, an aromatic in range of 5% to 10%, a residual oxygenates in range 5% and a water content in range 0.5%. The liquid biofuel having heating value in range of 38-41 MJ/kg, viscosity in range of 2-4 cSt at 40 C and density in range of 0.78-0.84 g/ml. The dual upgrading and fractional condensation improve yield efficiency by at least 15% when compared to traditional pyrolysis."
