MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010235 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'a protection barrier system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a protection barrier system (100) to contain the rebound of an Advance pedestrian legform impactor (aPLI) subsequent to impact with a vehicle (200). The protection barrier system (100), comprises a first protection apparatus (110), a second protection apparatus (120) parallel to the first protection apparatus (110), and a third protection apparatus (130) positioned on at least one side of the protection barrier system (100) and perpendicular to the first protection apparatus (110) and the second protection apparatus (120). Each of the first protection apparatus (110), the second protection apparatus (120), and the third protection apparatus (130) comprises one or more vertical beam members (116, 126, 136) configured to contain a secondary impact of an impactor device (302)."
