MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087419 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'a radar system for automotive applications and a method of operating thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a radar system for a vehicle, and a method of the operation thereof. The radar system comprises an antenna array group and a radar processing unit. The antenna array group includes a plurality of antenna arrays. The radar processing unit comprises a calibration module and a data processing module. Further, the calibration module processes each of the radar signals received from antenna arrays, and generates a radar data set based on the processed radar signals. Subsequently, the data processing module determines object detection and tracking information based on the generated radar data, and generates one or more activation signals associated with one or more operations of the vehicle."
