MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441005270 A) filed by Itc Life Sciences & Technology Centre, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Jan. 25, 2024, for 'a rinse-off formulation providing hydration to the skin.'

Inventor(s) include Krishnamurthy, Sivabalan; Indresh, Anusha Vokkaliga; Gaspar, Joseph Milton; Jayaprakas, Doss; Janni, Devi Sirisha; Gowda, Sarala Dakappa; Patil, Manjanagouda; Bhaskar, James; and Vijayakrishnan, Venugopal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rinse-off formulations comprising: a free fatty acid blend in an amount of 0.1 to 3.0% w/w; and one or more surfactants. The free fatty acid blend exhibits iodine value ranging between 110 and 135 /100g. The rinse-off formulation also comprises glycerine, preferably, in an amount ranging from 3 to 12% w/w. The rinse-off formulation affords enhanced hydration to skin, without compromising with characteristics such as lather profile and wash off characteristics."
