MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441037199 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on May 10, 2024, for 'a rotating member.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Aspect of the present invention pertains to a rotatable member (220), comprising one or more portions (220F, 220S, 220T), at least one of the one or more portions (220F, 220S, 220T) is adapted to have a plurality of passages (220AP, 220RP). In an aspect, the plurality of passages (220AP, 220RP) is configured to circulate a fluid in a brake assembly (200). The present subject matter ensures the optimum lubrication of the brake assembly (200) without dismantling any brake assembly component. Further, the rotatable member (220) reduces the overall weight and cost of the brake assembly (200) as the material being optimally removed from the rotating member (220) without compromising on the durability and reliability of the drum brake assembly (200)."
