According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A secure vehicle immobilization system using unified diagnostic service commands (100) is discloses. The system (100) comprising of a user interface unit (102), a security and traffic controller (104) configured to validate user credentials and session tokens and route the request securely to the telematics server (106). Further, a telematics server (106) coupled to vehicle control unit (108), configured to, parse requests from the security and traffic controller, ascertain whether the vehicle is stationary or mobile. Further, vehicle control unit within the vehicle (116), configured to receive commands from the telematics server (106), verify and convert the request(s) into low level Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) commands, send those UDS commands to the ECU (110) over the internal vehicle diagnostic network. Further, ECU (110) comprising of a diagnostic software module (118), configured to process the UDS service requests and deliver commands for vehicle immobilization and sending a status message to the user interface."
