MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012541 A) filed by Schaeffler Technologies Ag & Co. Kg, Herzogenaurach, Germany, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'a segmented pressure plate.'
Inventor(s) include Abdul Aziz, Ithayathullah; and Rengasamy, Rajagopal.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A segmented pressure plate (100) for a clutch assembly comprising a plurality of arcuate plate segments (102a, 102b, 102c) arranged sequentially around a central axis. Each arcuate plate segment (102a, 102b, 102c) has a raised end (104) and a lower end (106). The raised end (104) of each arcuate plate segment (102a, 102b, 102c) is fastened to the lower end (106) of an adjacent arcuate plate segment (102a, 102b, 102c) to form the segmented pressure plate (100) having a circular configuration. The present disclosure also discloses the method (400) of manufacturing the segmented pressure plate (100)."
