MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421013582 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Thane, Maharashtra, on Feb. 25, 2024, for 'a self-locking mechanism for electric switching device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to an electric switch (100). The electric 5 switch (100) comprises a housing (112) and a terminal pillar (110). The housing (112) comprises a protrusion (113) at the bottom side. The protrusion (113) comprises a rectangular cavity (115). The rectangular cavity (115) comprises triangular grooves (302) on inner surface. The electric switch (100) further comprises a terminal pillar (110). The terminal pillar 10 (110) is a cuboidal structure. The top side (202) comprises an opening (211). The right side (212) and left side (210) comprises the projection (214). The projection (214) is disposed at the top end. During assembly, the terminal pillar (110) is inserted in the rectangular cavity (115) and snap fitted with the housing (112) with the help of triangular grooves (302) and projection 15 (214)."
