MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517041810 A) filed by Nederlandse Organisatie Voor Toegepast-Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek Tno, Gravenhage, Netherlands, on April 30, for 'a solid fuel propelled projectile.'
Inventor(s) include Veraar, Ronald Gerard; and Wieling, Wolter Pieter Wilhelmus.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In an aspect of the invention there is provided a solid fuel propelled projectile, comprising: an elongated projectile motor case and/or a core piece having solid fuel provided thereon to form a combustion chamber between the motor case and core piece; an air intake provided on the front side of the projectile providing air into the combustion chamber; an exhaust nozzle provided on the rear side of the combustion chamber; said exhaust nozzle provided by a ring element extending rearwards of the motor case, and an aerospike profile surrounding the core piece; wherein the aerospike profile extends rearward of the ring element."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 13, 2023, under International application No.PCT/NL2023/050535.
