MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011510 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'a steering knuckle of a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Johri, Akshat; Vedartham, Raghavendra; Bisht, Arun; and Khanger, Rakesh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A steering knuckle (100) of a vehicle is disclosed. The steering knuckle (100) comprises a wheel connection portion (102) configured to connect to a hub assembly (200) of a wheel. A dust cover mounting structure (104) is provided which comprises a plurality of fastening means (106) for affixing a dust cover (300) to the steering knuckle (100), adjacent to the wheel connection portion (102). A sealing structure (108) is configured to prevent ingress of foreign contaminants into internal components of the steering knuckle (100). The steering knuckle (100) facilitates a robust connection with the dust cover (300) through the dust cover mounting structure (104) and ensures protection of internal components through the sealing structure (108)."
