MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441006500 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a storage compartment.'

At least one disinfectant device (150) is attached to at least one of surfaces of the housing (101). The one or more disinfectant devices (150) being configured to be activated for a predetermined time period to disinfect the articles stored inside the housing (101). The present invention enhances safety and hygiene of a user by disinfecting stored items and also reduces the risk of transmitting germs and bacteria."
