MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421023372 A) filed by Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, Maharashtra, on March 25, 2024, for 'a sunroof panel for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Prashant Rayjade; Shubham Dane; Navalkumar Kavthekar; and Sarang Kshirsagar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a sunroof panel (100) for a vehicle. the sunroof panel (100) includes a roof panel (10) defined with a sunroof cavity (15), a plurality of insert members (30) positioned at predetermined positions at an underside portion of a periphery of the sunroof cavity (15). Further, the sunroof panel (100) includes a plurality of projections (13) extending from a predetermined portion of the periphery of the sunroof cavity (15) and proximal to each of the plurality of insert members (30). Each of the plurality of projections (13) are configured extend around corresponding insert members (30) to sandwich the insert member (30) between the predetermined position at the underside portion of the periphery of the sunroof cavity (15) and corresponding projection (13). Furthermore, the sunroof panel includes a sunroof module (20) coupled to each of the sandwiched insert members (30)."
