MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421007445 A) filed by Tata Motors Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'a suspension device of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Mithun R. Chaskar; Hemant D Ghanwat; and Prakash P Pagire.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present disclosure relates to a suspension device (200) of a vehicle. The suspension device (200) includes an upper housing (1) defining a first chamber (1c), and a lower housing (2) defining a second chamber. A piston (4) is connected to an end of the piston rod (3a) and a plate (5) is defined at a bottom end (4b) of the piston (4). The plate (5) defines a third chamber (9) in the piston (4). A fluid flow regulator (6) is positioned on the plate (5). The fluid flow regulator (6) includes a body (10), and a first valve (7) disposed at a bottom end (10b) of the body (10). The first valve (7) is operable to fluidly couple the second chamber (2c) with the third chamber (9). A second valve (8) is disposed at a top end (6a) of the body (10). The second valve (8) is operable to fluidly couple the second chamber (2c) with the third chamber (9)."
