MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013071 A) filed by Abb Schweiz Ag, Baden, Switzerland, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'a switchgear cabinet.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A switchgear cabinet is described. The switchgear cabinet includes a circuit breaker compartment. A circuit breaker is movably housed in the circuit breaker compartment and is displaceable between one or more positions. A racking assembly is configured to displace the circuit breaker between the one or more positions. The racking assembly includes a cradle secured to a portion of the circuit breaker. A lead screw is coupled to the circuit breaker and engaged with a threaded support of a front beam secured to the sidewalls. A drive module is secured to a circuit breaker compartment door and is structured to selectively engaged with the lead screw in a closed condition of the circuit breaker compartment door. The drive module is configured to be actuated to rotate the lead screw to at least rack-in and rack-out the circuit breaker between the one or more positions."
