MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411001402 A) filed by Sambhavika AI Private Limited, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 8, 2024, for 'a system and a method for unambiguous braille conversion.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a system and a method for unambiguous bidirectional conversion of a text. The system includes an input module (101), a conversion module (103) provided with a language identifier (103a), a direction identifier (103b); and a convertor. The method enables unambiguous bidirectional conversion of a text. The method includes providing at least one input, identification of a primary language of the input, and the direction of conversion. The input text is screened for presence of plurality of markers. The markers include at least one language metatag, at least one script switching tag, at least one intra-word script switching marker, at least one multi-word script switching marker. The conversion of the input text is initiated based on markers identified. The input text is converted to a desired output text. The system and method enable unambiguous print-to-Braille and Braille-to-print conversion."
