Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'A System And A Process For Producing Ethanol In Batches And A Digester Thereof' Filed by Godavari Biorefineries Limited

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421015926 A) filed by Godavari Biorefineries Limited, Maharashtra, on March 6, 2024, for 'a system and a process for producing ethanol in batches and a digester thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Ramnath Kadam; Amol Dive; Shreerang Kardale; Ramesh Shettar; Deepak James; Kedar Shukre; and Sangeeta Srivastava.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system (100) for producing ethanol. The present invention also discloses a process (200) for producing ethanol. The system (100) includes a water supply unit (115), a digester (120) with a helical agitator (128), a steam generation and supply unit (130), an enzymatic hydrolysis unit (140), a fermentation unit (150), and a distillation unit (160)."
