MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611009046 A) filed by Graphic Era, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Jan. 29, for 'a system and method for continuous mental health monitoring and real time intervention.'

Inventor(s) include Japnoor Singh; Dr. Prabh Deep Singh; and Dr. Kiran Deep Singh.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a comprehensive system for continuous mental health monitoring integrates wearable multi-modal physiological sensors with hierarchical edge-fog-cloud computing architecture and artificial intelligence to provide real-time emotional state assessment, longitudinal pattern analysis, and predictive episode forecasting. The wearable device captures heart rate variability, electrodermal activity, skin temperature, and physical activity through comfortable unobtrusive sensors. Edge processing performs signal conditioning and feature extraction while fog computing on smartphones executes optimized machine learning models for immediate mental state classification within 500 milliseconds enabling rapid intervention. Personalized baseline models adapt to individual variability and temporal changes over multiple timescales. A tiered alert framework provides graduated responses from self-care suggestions through support network notifications to emergency alerts matched to distress severity. Cloud infrastructure performs sophisticated longitudinal analytics using Long Short-Term Memory networks and survival analysis for predictive risk assessment. Privacy-preserving federated learning with differential privacy enables global model improvement through collective learning while maintaining strict data protection."
