MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621028090 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on March 10, for 'a system and method for generating interactive vocal reconstructions.'
Inventor(s) include Dr Prashant Jain; Dr. Abhay Kothari; Mr. Deepesh Pal; Ms. Pooja Dawar; and Mr. Anushk Jain.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system and method for generating interactive vocal reconstructions of an extinct or deceased animal are disclosed. The system includes a sensor and input layer configured to receive environmental inputs including camera, microphone, motion detection, or light sensing data, and an environmental context detector configured to determine environmental triggers associated with user presence or environmental conditions. A fossil morphology analysis module processes fossil scan data to reconstruct vocal tract parameters through three-dimensional reconstruction of fossilized anatomical structures. An artificial intelligence acoustic engine generates synthesized vocalizations corresponding to the reconstructed vocal tract. A behavioural modelling unit modifies acoustic characteristics based on environmental triggers and determined emotional states. An edge computing system enables real-time processing. A spatial audio processor renders the vocalization in three-dimensional space, and an extended reality interface synchronizes the audio with a digital animal representation."
