MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641048261 A) filed by Madivalara Kalpana, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on April 15, for 'a system and method for integrated pde-ode conversion in visco-elastic fluid dynamics analysis.'

Inventor(s) include Madivalara Kalpana; and Bhoomika V.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system and method for integrated conversion of partial differential equations (PDEs) into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) for visco-elastic fluid dynamics analysis. The proposed system comprises a governing equation input module, a transformation engine, a parameter mapping unit, a solution engine, and an output analysis module. The transformation engine applies similarity transformations and dimensionless variable formulations to systematically reduce nonlinear, coupled PDEs into reduced-order ODE forms. The parameter mapping unit incorporates physical parameters including visco-elastic effects, porous medium characteristics, and boundary conditions into the transformed model. The solution engine computes analytical, semi-analytical, or numerical solutions of the resulting ODEs under prescribed conditions. The system further generates flow characteristics, velocity profiles, and parameter sensitivity outputs for analysis and visualization. The proposed framework enables automated, scalable, and efficient modelling of complex fluid systems, significantly reducing computational complexity while improving analytical interpretability. The invention is applicable to boundary layer flows, non-Newtonian fluid systems, and engineering applications involving viscoelastic fluid behavior."
