Further, the method comprises allocating first and second sequence identifiers (IDs) for first and second messages, respectively. Furthermore, first and second incremental message IDs are generated based on the first and second sequence IDs, respectively, and the uptime duration value. 10 Further, first and second messages with first and second incremental message IDs, respectively, are transmitted from the source device to the destination device and via an intermediary device. First and second messages are to be processed by the destination device based on the respective incremental message IDs."
