According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system (100) for eliminating and eradicating weeds in an agricultural field is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a detection module (210) coupled with a processor (204) and including a vision unit configured to capture real-time agricultural field images and identify and differentiate weeds from crops. A navigation module (212) coupled with the processor (204) comprises a sensor fusion arrangement configured to enable autonomous row-based traversal of the agricultural field. A positioning module (216) is configured to laterally and vertically align a rotary auger weed removal tool of an extraction module (214) with positional coordinates of detected weeds. The extraction module (214) is configured to penetrate soil and mechanically uproot detected weeds. A coordination module (218) generates synchronized control signals to regulate locomotion, alignment, actuation, and autonomous weed removal operations in real time."
