MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511126659 A) filed by Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 15, 2025, for 'a system for fleet management and transportation automation using fixed qr code authentication.'
Inventor(s) include Aryan Jaiswal; Manan Gupta; Nikita Rawat; Shiv Preet; Gaurav Sharma; and Shivani Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a fleet management system that integrates a fixed QR scanning device with an imaging sensor and illumination element to capture encrypted QR tokens from driver and passenger identification cards. A GPS module provides real-time geolocation data, which, together with the decoded tokens processed by an edge processing unit is time-stamped and stored in encrypted non-volatile memory under an offline-first protocol. A communication module subsequently transmits these records to a centralized backend server using secure protocols when network connectivity resumes. Simultaneously, a decision intelligence engine conducts real-time occupancy analytics and clustering, delivering automated fleet merging recommendations displayed on a central dashboard thereby optimizing fleet operations even under intermittent network conditions."
