Inventor(s) include Lohani, Dheeraj; Singh, Shiv Aishwarya; Pachipulusu, Raja Rajeswari; Anirudh, Malkuchi; C. S., Meenakshi; and Jaltare, Siddhesh Shrikant.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method (200) for identifying a motor (110) of a predefined type in a vehicle is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a controller (202), a voltage from the motor (110) each time the controller (202) is commanded for operation. The received voltage is based on a value of a pre-installed resistor (302) in the motor (110). The method includes verifying, by the controller (202), that the received voltage is within a predefined voltage range and outputting, by the controller (202), one of, a signal confirming that the motor (110) is of the predefined type, when the received voltage is within the predefined voltage range and a signal indicating that the motor (110) is not of the predefined type, when the voltage is different from the predefined voltage range."
