Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'A System For Providing A Power Assist In A Vehicle And A Method Thereof' Filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited

MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441021321 A) filed by Tvs Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 20, 2024, for 'a system for providing a power assist in a vehicle and a method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Karthikeyan Shanmugam; Jeevitha Krishnan; Sarmadh Ameer Shafi Khan; Marvel Murugan; and Datta Rajaram Sagare.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system (100) and a method (200) for providing a power assist in a vehicle (10). The system comprises one or more sensors (102) adapted to procure information pertaining to one or more operating parameters of the vehicle. An integrated starter generator (ISG) (104) is adapted to provide the power assist to the engine (106). A control unit (108) is configured to: receive the one or more operating parameters of the vehicle; compare the one or more operating parameters of the vehicle with one or more predetermined operating conditions of the vehicle; operate the ISG (104) to provide the power assist to the engine (106), when the one or more operating parameters of the vehicle correspond to the one or more predetermined operating conditions of the vehicle; and disable the ISG (104) when the power assist to the engine exceeds a predefined period of time."
