MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006359 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a system for self-sensing windows and doors.'

Inventor(s) include Ms. Mankiran Kaur; Ms. Reecha Sood; Ribhu Gautam; Gautam Bansal; Reshav Anand; and Dr. Anuj Kumar Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system for self-sensing windows and doors. The system for self-sensing windows and doors comprises one or more sensors, configured to continuously measure and convert the data of external wind speed into analog signals. Further, at least one microcontroller coupled with the one or more sensors, configured to receive and analyse the anlaog signals, and generate control signals. Further, at least one motor coupled with the at least one microcontroller, configured to receive the control signals and control movement of the self-sensing windows and doors in accordance with the received control signals. Further, at least one pulley coupled with the at least one motor, configured to facilitates mechanical movement of the Self-Sensing windows and doors for smooth operation and precise control."
