MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431006330 A) filed by Tata Steel Limited, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a system for sintering iron ore and a method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Jay Prakash Behura; Srinivas Dwarapudi; Rama Krishna Adepu; Yellapantula Gouri Surya Prasad; Rikiraj Mahanta; Dhiraj Madhukar Kadhe; Priyabrata Palo; and Dharmendar Kumar Rajak.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a magnetic conditioner (103) for an iron-core sintering system (100). The magnetic conditioner (103) includes an enclosure (301) having an inlet (303) and an outlet (304), the inlet (303) configured to receive water from a water pipeline. The magnetic conditioner (103) further includes a plurality of magnetic rods (302) arranged in a predetermined configuration within the enclosure (301). Each magnetic rod (302) includes permanent magnets and is configured to generate a magnetic field within the enclosure (301). When the received water is passed through the plurality of magnetic rods (302) in presence of the magnetic field, wherein the water is polarized during the passage. The polarized water exits through the outlet (304)."
