MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521022840 A) filed by Hle HLE Glascoat Limited, Anand, Gujarat, on March 13, 2025, for 'a thermo-controlled baffle for reaction tank and method for operating the same.'
Inventor(s) include Ishant Jain; Ganesh Bhoye; and Aalap Patel.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to thermal management systems for chemical reactors. A thermo-controlled baffle (100) for a reaction tank (10) includes an outer tube (103) having a closed bottom end, a middle tube (105) disposed within the outer tube (103), an inner tube (107) disposed within the middle tube (105) for receiving a heat exchanger medium, a helical flight (109) disposed between the outer tube (103) and the middle tube (105) to guide the heat exchanger medium from the closed bottom end to an upper end of the outer tube (103) to exchange heat with contents of the reaction tank (10), and a fin (101) extending from the outer tube (103) for obstructing flow during mixing. The thermo-controlled baffle (100) integrates heat exchange, baffling, and temperature control within a single structure, providing thermal efficiency and enhanced mixing within the reaction tank (10)."
