MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621007307 A) filed by Ace Precision Engineering, Palghar, Maharashtra, on Jan. 24, for 'a vaccine delivery device for dispensing a fixed vaccine dose per actuation.'

Inventor(s) include Allen Stany Fernandes.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a vaccine delivery device for dispensing a fixed vaccine dose per actuation. The device (100) comprises a compressed air source (101) connected to an air service unit (102) for supplying regulated pneumatic pressure to a pneumatically actuated trigger valve (103). A main directional control valve (104), actuated in response to the trigger valve (103), selectively supplies pressurized air to a pneumatic actuator (105) having a piston (105a) operatively coupled to a vaccine delivery plunger. A mechanical stroke-limiting element (106) physically restricts movement of the piston (105a) to a predetermined fixed stroke length, thereby defining a fixed volumetric vaccine dose independent of pressure variation or actuation duration. A mechanically actuated limit valve (107) generates a pneumatic completion signal upon stroke completion, and a return mechanism (108) resets the piston (105a). The device (100) operates without electronic sensors, controllers, solenoid valves, or electrical power sources."
