MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010314 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'a vehicle side structure.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle side structure (100) is disclosed. The vehicle side structure (100) comprises a side body outer panel (102), a fixed window panel (104) defined on the side body outer panel (102) and a quarter garnish (106). The quarter garnish (106) comprises a base part (108) positioned on side body outer panel (102), and an extension part (110) configured to eliminate any panel visibility in a back door closed condition. The extension part (110) of the quarter garnish (106) is connected to the base part (108) of the quarter garnish (106) by a positive mounting phenomenon."
