MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006357 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a wearable health and safety system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Arora; Dr. Harbinder Singh; Dr. Pradeep Gaur; Mr. Aditya Bansal; and Miss. Charu Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The system (100) comprises a user (102), a wearable device (104) and a server (106). The user (102) may be a male, a female. The wearable device (104) may further comprise a plurality of sensors strategically placed to measure one or more health parameters, a global positioning system (GPS) (108), a GSM (110), an audio/video unit (112) and a panic button (114). The plurality of sensors includes a pulse rate monitor (116), and a vibration sensor (118) for monitoring heartbeat patterns, blood pressure. Further, the placement of the plurality of sensors is optimized for accurate and non-intrusive data collection."
