MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044358 A) filed by Unicharm Corporation, Ehime, Japan, on May 7, for 'absorbent article for pet.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An absorbent article for a pet according to one embodiment, which is to be wrapped around the waist of a pet, comprises a horizontally long body part having a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, wherein: the body part includes a front surface sheet disposed on the skin side, a back surface sheet disposed on the non-skin side, an absorbent body disposed between the front surface sheet and the back surface sheet, and a pair of leak-proof gathers disposed outside the absorbent body in the lateral direction; and at least one part of one or both of the pair of leak-proof gathers is colored in a different color from the color of the front surface sheet."
