MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058989 A) filed by NHK Spring Co. Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, on June 19, for 'ac-energization heating method and ac-energization heating device.'

Inventor(s) include Mino, Yoshinobu; Takahashi, Keita; Okabe, Satoshi; and Kumai, Shintaro.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An AC-energization heating method according to an embodiment includes: preparing a conductive workpiece; attaching a first terminal and a second terminal connected to a power source capable of supplying alternating current to the workpiece; arranging a first conductor that is in an electrically floating state at a position where a proximity effect occurs when the alternating current is applied to the workpiece; and heating at least a portion of the workpiece by allowing the alternating current to flow to the workpiece through the first terminal and the second terminal."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/044884.
