MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544040295 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on April 25, for 'activation signal transmission for ambient internet of things (iot) device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to activation signal transmission for ambient Internet of things device. In the solution, a first apparatus receives, from a plurality of apparatuses, a plurality of signals comprising capability information of the plurality of apparatuses. The capability information comprises at least one of: identification information of the plurality of apparatuses, power amplification information of the plurality of apparatuses, or information regarding a plurality of received power levels required by the plurality of apparatuses. Based on the plurality of backscattering signals, the first apparatus transmits a first activation signal with a first power level for at least one second apparatus; and transmits a second activation signal with a second power level higher than the first power level for at least one third apparatus of the plurality of apparatuses. Information regarding muting the at least one second apparatus is transmitted by the first apparatus."
