MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026005 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable animal carrying device for travelers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable animal carrying device for travelers, comprising a meshed body 1 developed positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of motorized clamping units 2 acquires a grip on surface, a lid 3 is accessed by a user for opening body 1 and accommodating a pet animal inside body 1 which is to be carried with user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 monitors behavior of animal inside body 1, a motion detection sensor monitors movement of animal inside body 1, a speaker 5 alerts user regarding monitored unusual behavior/activities, a temperature sensor monitors temperature of surrounding of body 1, a fan blows air towards animal, plurality of charcoal pads absorbs harmful particles or gases present in surrounding of body 1, and a double layered tray 6 integrated with multiple springs 7 for absorbing any jerk experienced on body 1 in order to prevent any discomfort to animal."
