MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026027 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adaptable animal's foot protection assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable animal's foot protection assistive device, comprising a cylindrical frame 1 developed to be worn on animal's toe, a cushioned member 4 for providing a comfortable experience to animal, an L-shaped bar manner for protecting nails of animal, a tactile sensor for detecting hardness of surface, an extendable L-shaped bar 2 for getting positioned near to ground surface, plurality of telescopically operated pins 3 for getting engaged to surface and an angle sensor to monitor inclination angle of animal's nails."
