MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024825 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'adaptable clogged sink cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Dr. Parampal; Anupam Ghai; and Aditi Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable clogged sink cleaning device, comprising a frame 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface in proximity to a sink, plurality of clamping units 2 each integrated with a suction cup 3 for acquiring a firm grip on the surface, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1 to determine location of strainer, motorized gripper 5 to remove strainer net, telescopically operated L-shaped rod 6 for positioning a disc 8 over the strainer, extendable links 7 for inserting the links 7 into pipe connected with sink, motorized hinges 9 to tilt portions of the links 7 for easy access of the links 7, suction units 10 to extract dirt/debris clogged in the pipe, motorized ball and socket joint 12 engaging filamentous dirt to get entangled in the pins 11 and a waste bin for storing the extracted dirt."
