MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025561 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 28, 2024, for 'adaptable coal guard system for coal trains.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable coal guard system for coal trains, comprising a framework developed to be mounted on each wagon of a coal-carrying train, multiple electromagnets 2 mounted on the framework affixes the framework on the train, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on the framework detects ignited coal stored in the wagon, a pair of expandable bars 4 organized with the framework gets positioned on other end of the wagon, a motorized roller 1 coiled with a sheet mounted with the framework for covering mouth portion of the wagon, multiple electronically controlled nozzles 5 mounted with the bars 4 dispense water on the coal, and a weight sensor mounted on the framework monitors weight of the stored coal."
