MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073964 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'adaptable container uplifting and loading assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Avtar Singh; Dr. Neeraj Kamboj; Dr. Aman Sharma; Yogesh Kumar; and Vibhor.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable container uplifting and loading assistive device comprises of a vertical frame 1 installed on loading arm of a loading vehicle, an imaging unit 2 to determine location of a container in proximity to the frame 1 which is to be uplifted, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of the frame 1, a pair of motorized vertical sliding units 3 installed on the frame 1 and mounted with a panel to translate the panel to get aligned parallel to the container, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting dimensions of the container, a pair of motorized clamping units 5 by means of a motorized slider 6 to translate the clamping units 5 along lower ends of the panel to acquire a grip on the container, and a laser measurement sensor integrated on the frame 1 for monitoring height of a fixed surface."
