MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024070 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adaptable crop loading/unloading assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Prafull Kumar; and Aishwary Awasthi.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable crop loading/unloading assistive device, comprising an elongated body having a proximal 1 and distal end 2, a handle 3 fabricated on proximal end 1 is accessed by a user to position body in proximity to a crop bundle positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 4 installed on body determines dimensions of bundle, an extendable bar 5 arranged on distal end 2 for increasing/decreasing dimensions of bar 5, a LiDAR sensor embedded on bar 5 determines distance of bundle from bar 5, a pair of U-shaped clamps 6 integrated on bar 5, a telescopically operated rod 7 positions a pair of U-shaped clamps 6 in proximity to crop bundle, a motorized sliding unit 8 provides translation to rod 7 for positioning clamps 6, multiple telescopically operated pins 9 positions pins 9 in between stalks of bundle to secure clamps 6 on to bundle."
