MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023140 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adaptable door transporting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptable door transporting assistive device, comprising a platform 8 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, multiple of wheels 1 are positioned on the platform 8 for moving platform 8 on platform 8, a U-shaped member 2 having multiple sections positioned on platform 8 for allowing a user to accommodate multiple doors in sections, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mapped on platform 8 to determine dimensions of accommodated doors, a pair of hydraulically operated rod 4 installed on member 2 to extend/retract for positioning an extendable motorized clamp 5 integrated on rod 4 in proximity to the accommodated doors, a pair of plates 6 positioned on member 2 by means of plurality of telescopically operated link 7 to extend/retract for pushing plates 6 towards accommodated doors for providing an additional support to the accommodated doors."
